The New South Wales Government, through the Department of Transport, has removed from all wedding car operators the right to carry out tours, events and special occasions, or any work not connected to weddings, formals or funerals.

If caught, Mustang Sally's faces a fine of up to $100,000 and the loss of our wedding accreditation.

It is our belief that someone who wishes to hire a classic Mustang does so for a specific reason and therefore has no desire to use a modern hire car or taxi. We also believe that this specialised type of hire in no way competes with or takes work from taxis or hire cars.

All other states in Australia have a special, affordable licence for classic vehicles, however the NSW Government has limited your choice as a consumer to a modern hire car, or a State-run tourist bus or taxi.

While we believe the ruling is unfair and the motives behind it are at best questionable, we have been forced to suspend all services not directly related to weddings and formals.
